Message from our Head Teacher

Marlborough Primary and Nursery is a very large and popular community school situated in Isleworth, Middlesex which was rebuilt in 1997 to create an extremely spacious, modern and attractive learning environment.  In addition to the 630 mainstream education places we have a Nursery which caters for 78 children and a Special Needs Unit for children with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) with a capacity for 16 pupils.

Our intake of pupils reflects a culturally rich and diverse community and we have a strong reputation for offering an inclusive, broad and balanced curriculum for all our learners.

Our most recent Ofsted report from February 2009 highlighted several outstanding features including the:

  • Behaviour, personal wellbeing and development of the pupils,
  • The pastoral care provided by the staff,
  • The quality of the school’s self evaluation
  • Our ‘Marlborough College’ initiative where children in the KS2 have the opportunity to follow their own learning paths by selecting from a diverse range of courses e.g. computer animation, cookery, yoga and chemistry

All this helps to confirm our view that Marlborough has continued to be a very special place for the children and staff to learn and develop.  Although the school is very proud of its achievements we are committed to an ongoing programme of improvement, extending the strong links we enjoy with our parents, carers and the community and ensuring positive outcomes for all our learners.

We believe that our vision and ethos fosters an atmosphere of mutual respect and effective teamwork and this provides our pupils and staff with an engaging, motivating, supportive and challenging experience.

Visits to the school can be arranged via the school office.

Thank you for your interest.
