KS2

Key Stage Two is for learners between the ages of 7 and 11. This includes Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 and is also known as the juniors.
The building at Marlborough in divides the juniors into the Lower and Upper sections. In the Lower Juniors (ages 7 to 9) we have Years 3 and 4 Violet Class, Red Class, Silver Class and Scarlet Class, Emerald Class and Bronze Class respectively. The location of Year 5 and 6 is the Upper Juniors (ages 9 to 11) and includes Mauve Class, Indigo Class, and Purple Class for Year 5 and Blue Class, Green Class and Crimson Class for Year 6.
In addition to the classes the junior department also contains a centre for children who have been identified as having Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD). Our centre has a capacity of 16 children. These children are often very able but have experienced difficulty in acquiring basic literacy and numeracy skills. In order to meet the needs of these learners we have two specialist teachers working in the centre and also give the children frequent opportunities to integrate within the mainstream classes.
