Marlborough College is an initiative to provide additional and diverse learning experiences for all children in Key Stage 2 (7 to 11 year olds).  At the end of the Summer Term each child is given a prospectus containing details of the courses on offer and invited to select from 5 areas of learning including:

• Creative and Media Studies
• Cognitive Thinking
• Technological Studies
• Environmental Studies
• Physical Development

The 25 courses on offer for the academic year 2008-09 range from computer animation and chemistry to volleyball and chess.  Each course during school time on Monday afternoons and lasts for a duration of 6 weeks.  On completion the pupils are awarded a certificate of attainment which they are encouraged to add to their personal portfolios.
