Growing the Whole Child

At Marlborough, we nurture not only academic excellence but also confidence, curiosity, kindness, and resilience. From their very first day, children are supported to thrive academically, socially, and personally — developing the skills and values they need for life.

Through shared experiences and reflection, pupils learn empathy, kindness, and respect — becoming thoughtful, active members of their school and wider community.

A Sense of Belonging

Every child is known, valued, and cared for. We foster kindness and integrity, creating a community where pupils feel safe, respected, and confident to be themselves.

A Sense of Teamwork

We learn and grow together. Through collaboration and curiosity, pupils develop empathy, resilience, and the skills to contribute positively both in school and beyond.

A Sense of Achievement

We celebrate every success. Our rich, ambitious curriculum inspires curiosity, encourages resilience, and nurtures pride — helping each child achieve their full potential academically and personally.

Pupils thrive in this caring and supportive school. They live out the school values of kindness, integrity, curiosity and resilience every day.”

A Rich and Inspiring Curriculum

Learning at Marlborough is built around five key principles:

  • Coherent: carefully sequenced so children build on what they know

  • Credible: real-world, purposeful learning experiences

  • Creative: performance, storytelling, art, and music enrich every child’s experience

  • Compassion: empathy and kindness are woven through all we do

  •  Community: meaningful links with local people, places, and organisations bring learning to life

“The school has designed a broad and rich curriculum, starting in the early years where staff support pupils in a well-resourced and welcoming learning environment.” — Ofsted, November 2024

Excellent Pupil Outcomes

Marlborough pupils achieve exceptionally well. In 2025, our school was placed in the top 11% nationally for pupils achieving the higher standard in Reading, Writing and Maths combined.*
(*Based on Hounslow LA Insight & NCER National Comparisons, October 2025.)

“The school develops pupils’ knowledge through an ambitious curriculum. Staff have high expectations for all pupils. As a result, pupils achieve well in their learning.” - Ofsted November 2024

Learning Beyond the Classroom

At Marlborough, learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door. Our curriculum is brought to life through real-world experiences — pupils, including those in the early years, visit theatres, local parks, museums, and galleries, helping them see how their learning connects to the wider world.

"Pupils, including those in the early years, visit many places which enrich their understanding of the curriculum. These include theatres, local parks, museums, and galleries.” — Ofsted, November 2024

Extracurricular Activities

  • Free Breakfast Club for pupils in Reception to Year 6.

  • Marlborough Minders childcare provision offering breakfast and after-school sessions for Nursery and Reception pupils.

Children at Marlborough can take part in a wide range of after-school clubs and enrichment activities, from sports and music to creative arts and drama. These opportunities help pupils discover new interests, develop skills, and build friendships, giving every child the chance to grow in confidence and enjoy learning beyond the classroom.

Extensive Grounds and Learning Spaces

Our large, well-equipped classrooms and outdoor learning areas provide children with space to explore, create, and grow — supporting both wellbeing and curiosity.

Engaged Parent Association

At Marlborough, we value strong partnerships with families. Our Parent Association is active, welcoming, and involved in school life, helping to organise events, fundraise, and support activities that enrich the experience for all pupils.

By working together, parents and carers play a vital role in our school community, helping to celebrate achievements, strengthen connections, and make Marlborough an even better place to learn and grow.

“Parents are overwhelmingly positive about their children’s experiences at the school.”
